Jim Hodgkins

Williams mourns the passing of retired staff member Jim Hodgkins on Monday December 27, 2021 at Crescent Manor in Bennington, VT.
Jim joined the college as assistant director of food services in 1970 and retired 31 years later after a distinguished career as director of dining services. During his years at Williams he was also elected to major leadership roles in his profession, including as national chair of the National Association of College and University Food Services’ Professional Standards and Visitation Committee. Survivors include his wife Anne, also retired from Dining Services, and their two daughters, current Dining staff member Kim Hodgkins and her sister, Amy Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family meanwhile welcomes donations in Jim’s memory to either the Williamstown Food Pantry or the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
